The Guardian has an interesting article on whether or not the Internet is the great force for democracy that many have claimed entitled "Thanks to corporations, instead of democracy we get Baywatch."
It discusses just a few cases where companies have bowed to government demands in order to maximize profits. Check out what Cisco, Microsoft, Yahoo, etc. are doing in China.
